Overview
Individual events such as a new order, a 911 call, a customer service request, a geographic position update, or an updated investigative report represent the foundation of new and changing data throughout an organization that must be continually monitored to identify opportunities and threats. These events, if not already detected by existing business systems, can be quickly harnessed using user-driven Complex Event Processing capabilities. Complex events, comprised of related individual events, traditionally go completely undetected by both users and existing systems. These events may have internal and external informational components, and may occur at different times. A solution which can make sense of the flow of events from various data sources is critical to achieving real-time intelligence, as well as tactical and operational superiority over your competitors.
The Agent Logic Solution
Agent Logic’s user-driven Complex Event Processing solution is ideally suited for environments where the ability to achieve real-time event detection, personalized alerting, and automated response can mean the difference between mission success and failure.
Because of its flexibility, the Agent Logic solution has been implemented across a variety of diverse organizations, each having unique sets of requirements. Whether it is providing complex correlation of high interest vessel sensor data, or monitoring a bank’s customer facing, external resources for signs of fraud, Agent Logic can be deployed within weeks using pre-defined libraries of templates to integrate with existing data sources and networked services.
The common features which have allowed Agent Logic to help our customers achieve real-time success include:
- End-User Driven. Non-technical end users have the ability to configure rules on-the-fly, specific to their mission needs. This capability allows organizations to quickly adapt during critical situations, and when presented with new business information that redefines what events constitute opportunities and threats.
- Knowledge extension. When an event is first detected, Agent Logic has just begun to deliver value. Knowledge of a detected event can be extended in real-time through correlation of known people, locations, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, things, time, and other available event data. This unique capability enables additional events to be discovered, resulting in highly contextual alerts, and allowing actions to be initiated from a more informed position.
- Configurable complex event detection engine. Detected individual events, correlated using analytic rules defined by domain experts, drive identification and subsequent handling of complex events.
- Seamless integration and support for industry standards
- Automated responses (triggering desktop applications, initialization of transactions, etc.)
